Haworth aeonium is one of the toughest and hardiest of this group of succulents for sunny exposures and summer drought conditions. It grows into a tightly branched and compact plant that forms dense mounds up to 2-3 ft. high and as wide. Whorls of blue-green leaves, grow 2-3 in. long, and have reddish margins near the tips. Small clusters of white flowers occur in spring.
Haworth aeonium is a modest, but durable plant that grows with little care year after year. It is good for rock gardens, banks and in containers in warm and sunny locations. This succulent is most handsome when paired with Mexican or Italian terracotta pottery.
